    FAQ

    Can non competitors come?

Yes! Bring your friends and family. Even if they don’t fancy running, there’s plenty to do. Relax at basecamp, watch a workshop or cheer people on. It’s up to you.

    How do I enter?

To make it really easy, all our entries are now done via the Si Entries system. All you need to do is follow 3 simple steps:Book your racesBook your camping & parkingBook any extras. Once, you’ve completed this in Si Entries, you can always come back later and amend your booking (e.g., add extra parking or an extra tent).

I've never been in the mountains, can I still race?

There’s an event for all experiences and abilities. The 5km, 10km and 17km trail races and Nordic Walking Challenge stay on the paths around Grasmere lakeshore whilst the OMM Lite and 42km trail race go into the fells. Alternatively, if you want to brush up on your skills, there are guided walks and workshops that will help you feel more confident in the hills. If you’re not sure then please drop us a message through the LiveChat box or email [email protected] and we’d be happy to have a chat about it.

Can I enter more than one event?

As long as the events aren’t happening at the same time, you can enter as many as you like. For example, do a double weekender with a Grasmere Gallop 10km on Saturday and the OMM lite on Sunday. Or join the Grasmere Gallop Doublers by running a Gallop event on Saturday and the Marathon on Sunday to receive a bespoke Lakeland slate medal!

    Can I bring my dog?

Your four-legged friends are welcome on the event field. We just ask that they are kept on a lead and do not enter the event marquee (where food is being served). For their safety in the hot weather, we also ask that they are not left unaccompanied in tents or cars. Unfortunately, they are not allowed to accompany you on any of the courses.
