Terms of Service
1. The service
Run Atlas provides search, maps, editorial listings, and related tools that help users find running and endurance events. Unless expressly stated for a specific transaction, Run Atlas does not organise events and is not the seller of tickets for third-party races.
Many listings link to external websites (for example, an organiser’s registration page). Those sites have their own terms, privacy policies, and refund rules. You are responsible for reviewing them before you register or pay.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be old enough to enter a binding contract in your jurisdiction to create an account. You agree that registration information you provide is accurate and kept up to date. You are responsible for safeguarding access to your account and for activity that occurs under your credentials.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Services, including by attempting to probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of any system; circumvent security; scrape the Services in a way that overloads our infrastructure; distribute malware; send spam; impersonate others; or harass users, organisers, or our staff. We may suspend or terminate access for violations.
4. User content
If you submit reviews, comments, photos, or other content, you grant Run Atlas a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, and distribute that content in connection with the Services. You represent that you have the rights to grant this licence and that your content does not infringe third-party rights or violate applicable law. We may remove content that violates our policies or legal obligations.
5. Intellectual property
The Services, including branding, layout, software, and original editorial material, are protected by intellectual property laws. Except for the limited rights expressly granted by these terms, no rights are transferred to you. Event names, logos, and imagery may belong to organisers or licensors; you must not use them outside what is necessary for personal, non-commercial discovery.
6. Newsletters and communications
If you subscribe to marketing emails, you can unsubscribe using the link in each message or by contacting support. We may send essential service messages (for example, security notices or account confirmations) without separate marketing consent.
7. Disclaimers
The Services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the fullest extent permitted by law. Event information (dates, routes, prices, capacity) is compiled from public or licensed sources and may contain errors or become outdated. Always confirm critical details with the organiser before travelling or registering.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Run Atlas and its suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising from your use of the Services or your participation in any event discovered through the Services.
Where liability cannot be excluded, our aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Services is limited to the greater of (a) the amounts you paid to Run Atlas for the Services giving rise to the claim in the twelve months before the event or (b) fifty euros (€50), except where mandatory consumer law provides otherwise.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or other liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
9. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Run Atlas and its affiliates, directors, employees, and contractors from claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your content, your misuse of the Services, or your violation of these terms or applicable law—except to the extent caused by our wilful misconduct.
10. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we process personal data.
11. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the country where the operator identified in the Legal notice has its statutory seat, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, unless mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence require otherwise.
If you are a consumer in the European Union, you may also use the European Commission’s online dispute resolution platform at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
12. Changes
We may modify these terms from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and revise the “Last updated” date. If changes are material, we will provide additional notice where appropriate.
