When and where does the event take place?

The event takes place on Saturday, July 4th, 2026. Half Marathon starts at 10:30am and 10K at 11:15am. Start and finish are adjacent to Keel Caravan Park, The Sandy banks, Keel, Achill, Co. Mayo, Ireland.

How can I register and what are the fees?

Register via the event’s Active.com registration page (official online signup). Fees: Pre-registration Half Marathon €45, Pre-registration 10K €25; these are reflected at checkout on the registration platform.

What are the course distances and elevation changes?

Half Marathon is 21.09 km with climbs totalling approximately 121m (notable hill at ~5.5km and 8.4 miles). 10K is 10km, missing the bigger climbs and finishing at a lower max elevation.

Is there catering on the course?

Yes. There are several roadside water stations on-course, and complimentary refreshments/snacks are provided for runners in the marquee after finishing.

Can I transfer my registration to another person or event?

Yes. Transfers are permitted up to Monday, 1st June 2026 via the Active.com portal, for both different dates and between Half Marathon and 10K (subject to availability and an administration fee).

What are the results and timing arrangements?

Results are published on achillmarathon.com via Pop Up Races. Chip-in-bib and gun timing are used; results typically appear online as soon as possible after the event.
