About
AMBC provides XCC (short course), XCM (marathon) and XCO (Olympic format cross country) racing year-round. Summer series XCO races are held in cooler months, while Autumn features extended XCM marathon laps and winter brings Olympic-format XCO on 5–7 km laps.
Pacers
Pacemaker / Pacer guidance: the club uses transponders for timing. Racers must wear the transponder 100 mm from the axle on the left fork leg and display their race number at all times. Wave start categories are set by the Race Director based on entry numbers and previous results; competitors ignoring recommendations may not be eligible for podiums or prizes. Lapped riders will be flagged as "1LD" (one lap down) and those not finishing must advise the timekeeper as soon as practicable (DNF).
