A swimrun in Nyköping’s archipelago consisting of 22 km of trail running and 2 km of swimming across 25 stretches, set on Ånga Gård with lake and sea segments, team-based competition, and ample archipelago scenery.

Catering & aid stations

Five energy stations along the 22 km course; water and light food/snacks provided at hydration stations; light food at the finish; café on-site for participants and spectators.

Pacers

Pace groups defined for competition on race day; follow assigned start waves and pacer flags/target times. Pacers expected to follow race rules and support participants accordingly.

How long is Ångaloppet 22 km?

The 22 km event is roughly 22 km total: about 20 km of trail running and 2 km of swimming across 25 stretches.

How long is Ångaloppet 11 km?

The 11 km event is approximately 11 km: about 10 km of trail running and 1 km of swimming across 10 stretches.

Where can I park?

Parking is located about 300 m from Ånga Gård; follow signs and parking marshals. Only residents, exhibitors, and wheelchair holders may drive onto the event area during race weekend.

How do I get to the event by car from the north?

From the north, take E4 south and exit towards Trosa, then follow road 219 towards Studsvik; after passing Studsvik, approx. 14 km to Ånga Gård.

How do I get to the event by car from the south?

From the south, take E4 north and take the third and final exit at Nyköping, then follow road 219 towards Studsvik; after approx. 14 km you will see Ånga Gård on the left.

Can I compete individually?

Yes; the 22 km and 11 km can be competed individually or in teams of two. The Family event is a two-person team race.

How many hydration stations are there?

Five hydration stations on the 22 km; three on the 11 km; one on the 5 km; additional stations at start, finish, and during Family event.

What are the participant categories?

Men’s, women’s, and mixed teams.

Where is the best place for spectators?

At Ånga Gård you can follow start, transitions, and finish. To follow from the water, use a boat around the harbor.

What equipment is recommended?

Tight-fitting race clothing, swim buoy, and running shoes. For 22/11/5 km and Family, neoprene, swim buoy, or calf guards with flotation are mandatory.

Can I wear a wetsuit?

Yes. You may wear a full wetsuit, a short wetsuit, or just a swimsuit depending on temperature preference.

How is safety maintained during swims?

Functionaries in support boats assist if needed; marshals on land at every rise provide aid; medical staff trained in water rescue are present; swim with a buoy or support boat if unsure.

Is diving into the water allowed?

No; diving is strictly prohibited and will result in disqualification.

Do I need insurance?

Yes; the event is at your own risk. Organizers recommend insurance or a Startklar policy.

Can I change teams?

Yes; team changes are possible for an administrative fee of 400 SEK via email to info@angaloppet.se before the race; on-site changes are possible up to 90 minutes before start.

Is medical help available?

Yes; medical personnel are available at the water, at Ånga Gård, and along the course.

Do I have to help a fellow participant in distress?

Yes; participants are required to assist teammates in need and to help other teams if required.

Where can I stay overnight?

Camping is available at Ånga Gård; additionally, numerous hotels and campsites are near Nyköping.
