A festive New Year’s Day 5K in Sandwich, featuring wave starts, post-race awards and family-friendly festivities at the Sandwich Recreation Department.

Catering & aid stations

Hot and cold beverages plus snacks available at the finish line; hydration stations with water (and Gatorade on long segments) are placed along the course.

Pacers

Pace groups start shortly after the 11:00 am wave. Pacers will lead assigned target finish times per start wave; look for Pacer flag colors on the course and at the finish. Contact pacers for target splits and encouragement during the run.

What is the start time and wave structure?

Race starts at 11:00 am with wave starts; exact wave times and target splits are provided by pacers at the start corrals.

Where can I pick up my shirt and number?

Shirt deadline is December 7th; on race day pickup is at the Sandwich Recreation Department, 34 Quaker Meeting House Road, starting at 10:00 am.

Are walkers allowed?

Yes, walkers are welcome; no dogs are allowed on the course.

Is parking available at the start?

Race day parking is at Furnace Brook Middle School (500 Furnace St, Marshfield); overflow at The Boys & Girls Club of Marshfield (37 Proprietors Drive).
