About

A biennial mountain running event held near Aosta and the Becca di Nona. The race features two distances — the classic 13 km/2500 m ascent to the summit and a 6 km/1500 m Comboé variant — set in the natural park with a high scenic value.

FAQ

Is a sports medical certificate required to participate?

Yes, a valid sports medical certificate for competitive activity is mandatory for the Aosta-Becca di Nona. Self-certification is not accepted. For foreign athletes, a medical certificate from their national doctor must be uploaded; see the registration form for details.

What happens in case of bad weather on race day?

If weather conditions compromise safety, the organizers may change the route, delay the start, or cancel the event. For the Aosta-Becca di Nona, in adverse conditions the race may be shortened or rerouted for safety (as occurred in 2024 due to thunderstorms).

What equipment is mandatory and what is recommended?

Mandatory: windproof jacket; recommended: warm clothes, long trousers, water and food supply, emergency blanket, hat or bandana, trekking poles, and a mobile phone. The organization may adjust mandatory equipment based on weather.

Can I use a bicycle or other transport during the race?

No use of any means of transport is allowed. Participants must complete the race on foot; violations may lead to disqualification.

Where can I pick up the race bib and what are the rules for wearing it?

Bib collection is at the event venue; you must present a photo ID. The bib must be worn on the chest or belly, visible in full throughout the race, and must not be transferred to another person.

Are there age limits for the Aosta-Becca di Nona and the Comboé?

The Aosta-Becca di Nona requires participants to be at least 18 years old on race day. The Comboé is open to participants aged 16 and older.

What is the maximum time allowed to finish each distance?

Aosta-Becca di Nona: 4 hours overall; Comboé: 3 hours 30 minutes. There is a time gate at Comboé (approx. 2h 20’ from start); exceeding it may affect ranking eligibility for that segment.

Is it possible to change the name on the bib after registration?

Yes, until 12:00 on 28 June 2026, for a €5 fee. Changes must be requested by email with a copy of the delegate’s ID and the medical certificate.

Are pets allowed during the race?

No, pets are not permitted for safety reasons. Participants with pets will be disqualified.

Are there support vehicles or neutral zones allowed during the race?

No personal assistance outside authorized points and no vehicles are allowed. Dropping equipment along the track is prohibited.
