Pacers will be present for the 10k starting at the 8:00AM wave to help maintain target 80s-era inspired times — see the event schedule on race day for wave times and pacer flags.

FAQ
Can I bring my stroller?
Yes! This is a stroller friendly race. Children under the age of 3 in a stroller do not need to register for the race.
Can I bring my dog?
San Diego- Per our permit, no dogs are allowed.Long Beach- Yes! Dogs are welcome.
Is there an age limit?
Nope – Awesome 80’s Run is for all ages!
Does everyone get a finisher medal, including the 5K finishers?
Yes! All participants will receive a finisher medal at the finish line. Kids in stroller will receive a medal only if they are registered and wearing a bib.
Is the medal the same for all distances?
Yes! All participants will receive the awesome finisher medal.
Can I transfer my registration to another runner?
Yes, transfers are allowed for a $15 fee.
Can I switch my race distance?
YES you can switch distance! If you are transferring UP in distance you must pay any difference in registration fees. If you are transferring DOWN in distance, there is no refund.
I can no longer attend the race. What are my options?
If you registered for the race but can no longer attend, you have some options. 1. If you purchased event insurance, you can contact RegShield to apply for a refund. 2. You can transfer your bib to another runner by logging into your RunSignUp account.3. You can have your packet (shirt, bib, medal) sent to you. There is a $25 fee for shipping and handling. Please email info@fivepointevents.com.
Is there a time limit?
Nope – take your time!
What if it rains?
Awesome 80s Run will take place rain or shine. However, if officials deem conditions to be unsafe for any reason, the race will be rescheduled or will become a virtual race.
I was unable to attend the race. How can I get my medal?
Please email info@fivepointevents.com for information regarding receiving your race materials.

Can I roller skate/blade on the course?
Unfortunately, we are not able to have roller skating/blading on our San Diego and Long Beach courses.
