3-Mile Obstacle Course
4.8 km
Start: 01:30 AM
A high-intensity obstacle race in Downtown El Paso featuring 15+ custom-built obstacles designed to test grit, endurance, and mental toughness. The event emphasizes pushing limits in a safe, supported environment with wave starts, trained volunteers, and full amenities including hydration, medical support, and an after-party.
Water stations throughout the course, including start, multiple points along the route, and finish line. Food trucks and downtown restaurants/bars available nearby. Post-race recovery zone with ice and cooling facilities.
Pacemaker information is not applicable; the event uses a three-stage corral/wave start system (Corral A→B→C) with waves releasing every 5 minutes. Special Forces Volunteer Team enforces wave flow and transition between corrals.
Monthly averages based on historical data (2000–present).
Waves start every 5 minutes beginning at 6:00 a.m. Runners should arrive 20–30 minutes before their wave and enter the Runner Rally 15 minutes prior.
Ages 16+ may run. Ages 16–17 must have an adult aged 18+ sign their waiver on-site.
No refunds or transfers are allowed once the waiver has been signed.
Late arrivals must show their bib time and will be directed to designated late-entry gates. Entry point depends on where your wave currently is; volunteers manage late releases for safety.
Bring a small fanny pack or drawstring bag, waterproof fitness gear, sunglasses, hat, sunscreen, and a change of clothes. Do not bring alcohol, weapons, glass containers, or non-FAA drones.
The final obstacle before the finish line: walk up stairs and jump into an ice-cold water plunge with bars to swim under. Built to test your finish-line grit; expect to get wet.
