About

The Bel Monte Endurance Races is the most fun ultra you'll ever do. Created by ultra runners for ultra runners, BMER has all the qualities most coveted in an ultra: a stunning course on single-track trails, a friendly and inclusive atmosphere, a welcoming start/finish location very close to the trails. BMER is what ultras are all about and the perfect spring ultra to do with friends.

Catering & aid stations

Aid stations offer pre-packaged, single-serve foods (water, electrolytes, GU, soda, bananas, bars, candy, snacks, chips, pretzels, single-serve soup). Cup-less stations; bring your own bottle/container. No loose/open items.

Pacers

Pacers may be used and must sign the race waiver. They can run either behind or in front of their runner. Pacers may not carry items for their runner (no muling.) Pacers can be picked up at aid stations listed on the “Pacers and Crew” tab. Crews can only be met at specified locations. On race day, meet your pacer/crew at the locations listed — shuttle and detailed directions are provided on the course/directions page. Required waiver for pacers; email francesca@badtothebone.biz or bring a signed waiver on race day.

FAQ

Is registration refundable?

No. Entries are non-refundable, non-deferrable and non-transferrable. Check the weather and be prepared; the race will only be cancelled for dangerous conditions.

Can I run with my dog?

No. Dogs are not allowed on the course, though they are welcome to crew with you at aid stations (on leash).

What if the Blue Ridge Parkway closes due to snow?

The snow course will be implemented. Check the race website and app on race week for updates; 50-mile and 50k will use the Kennedy Ridge trail as a connector, and the 25k will use the original (shorter) snow-course loop.
