An iconic hill race up and down Britain’s highest mountain (4409 ft / 1344 m) held in Fort William, Scotland. The event is limited to 600 experienced hill runners and features cut-off times, mountain rescue support, and a festive finish area.

Who can enter the Ben Nevis Race?
Entry is limited to 600 experienced hill runners. You must be a member of a Bona Fide Running Club, Tri Club or Athletics Club. Individuals or ‘unattached’ runners cannot enter unless they have a club invite.
What are the cut-off times?
Half Way: 1hr 15mins; Summit: 2hrs 15mins; Finish Line: 3hrs 30mins. Runners not reaching cut-offs may be turned back for safety.
What is the race route?
The race starts and finishes at New Town Park, Claggan, Fort William. Runners ascend Ben Nevis and descend by whatever route they wish, but the traditional grassy bank descent is no longer permitted.
What should I bring to registration?
Bring your Entry Receipt (paper or electronic), a valid photo ID, and your race number will be issued at registration (9:00–12:30).
