The Bill Higson Memorial Cyclo-Cross is the club’s annual memorial event held in remembrance of Bill Higson. It is one of the oldest continuously-run cyclo-cross events in the south of England, first held in 1947 and promoted by Reading Cycling Club as part of the Wessex Cyclo-Cross League.

Pacer groups will be set on the race-day start wave according to target times published on the 'Renntag für Laufende' page; pacers display race flag identifiers to help runners stay with their intended pace group.

Where does the event take place?
Since 2008 the event has been held in Prospect Park, Reading; previous venues include Burghfield Common, Wokefield Common and Newbury Showground.
Do I need to pre-book?
Yes — entry is managed via the club’s Strava booking page; please do not turn up without checking in advance as numbers are limited.
