Pacers
Riders start in pre-determined groups or waves from the HQ Event Base and finish at the same location. Course maps and stage times are provided at registration; aim to complete all timed descents within several hours.

Do I need to pre-register?
Yes — pre-registration is required. On-site registration may be available depending on entries (check the registration page for details).
What should I bring on race day?
Bring your bike in race condition, a helmet, a timing chip if issued, suitable clothing for weather and terrain, food/water, and any tools/spare parts you need. Pacer groups depart from HQ Event Base; see the schedule for your wave.
Where is the HQ Event Base?
The HQ Event Base is at Whangamata Mountain Bike Park, State Highway 25, Whangamata (four kilometres north of the town).
