The Boston Half presented by Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and the Jimmy Fund brings 9,000 runners through Roxbury, Jamaica Plain and the Emerald Necklace, offering musical entertainment and scenic views along the way.
Catering & aid stations
On-course hydration with Poland Spring water and Gatorade Endurance Formula; Maurten also available. Portable toilets provided at start/finish and along the course.
Pacers
Pacemakers will be present with Pacerflaggen aligned to target times per Startwelle. For the Half Marathon, pacers are integrated among mass-start participants; refer to the event app/start corrals for assigned target times and Pacerflaggen at the start.

Registration opens July 8, 2026 within the B.A.A.’s online Athletes’ Village platform.
What is the age requirement to participate?
Entrants must be 14 years old on race day to participate in the Boston Half.
Are there aid stations on course?
Yes, there are FLUID STATIONS with Poland Spring water and Gatorade Endurance Formula, and portable toilets near the start/finish and along the course.
Is parking available at Franklin Park?
No — there is no parking available in Franklin Park for participants or spectators. Shuttles run from Copley Square and Forest Hills MBTA station.
Can I bring a stroller or pet?
No — strollers, in-line skates, skateboards (and similar vehicles), and animals are not permitted for safety reasons.
