Pacers

Pacemaker lines are defined for "Renntag für Laufende" with target times per start wave and "Pacerflaggen" visible on the course. Registered athletes should follow wave start times; pacers will be present to help maintain target pacing.

Is the lake clean?

Yes — the lake is known to be one of the cleanest lakes in northern Minnesota; water temperature is typically low-to-mid 70°F (≈21–24°C).

Is the bike course smooth?

The bike course is ~75% smooth tar, with some rolling hills — fast but not overly challenging.

Is the course hilly?

The run course is mostly flat tar and very spectator-friendly; the bike course includes rolling hills.

Is the swim safe?

Chip timing is used: your time starts with your wave and stops at the finish. No manual adjustment is needed.
