About

Queensland’s largest fun run — a community-focused event that takes runners, walkers and wheelers across the iconic Gateway Bridge, with options of 10km, 5km and wheelchair 10km. Organized by Transurban, it raises vital funds for local charities and features free public transport on the day.

When is the event?

The Transurban Bridge to Brisbane is on Sunday 13 September 2026.

What's included in my entry?

Your entry includes: an official event t-shirt, race number and timing chip, finishers’ medal and downloadable certificate, free public transport on event day, and the opportunity to race on one of Brisbane’s most unique courses.

What are the start zones and cut-off times?

10km and 5km have seeded and priority start zones based on estimated finish times. Key cut-offs: 10km start area closes at 7:45am, 5km start area closes at 10:30am, Inner City Bypass cut-off at 11:45am, and the finish line closes at 12:00pm. Participants must clear key points by these times or may be moved to the footpath or unable to continue.

Can I change my start zone or distance?

Yes, you can change your start zone or distance via the Update my Entry portal before entries close. Changes are not possible after the postage deadline for those requesting a mailed race number.

Is there a baggage drop?

No, there is no baggage drop service for this event. Please make alternative arrangements for personal items.

What about refunds or transfers?

There are no refunds unless expressly permitted by law. You can change your entry to the other distance (10km/5km) via the Update my Entry portal, or transfer your entry to another person. Detailed policies are available via the Update my Entry portal.

What should I wear and can I push a stroller?

Wear comfortable clothes and sensible shoes. Strollers are allowed and children in prams are free, but prams must start at the back of the chosen start zone and will not receive a race kit or finishers’ t-shirt.

Can I bring my pet or listen to music?

No, pets are not allowed on course (registered guide dogs are welcome). We recommend not wearing headphones so you can hear event instructions and fellow runners.

How do I get a race number if I don't select postage?

Pick up your race number from the Race Office at John Reid Pavilion, Corner of Gregory Terrace and Alexandria St, during opening hours (Thu 10 Sept 8am–6pm, Fri 11 Sept 8am–6pm, Sat 12 Sept 8am–2pm). You will need your entry confirmation email.
