About
A Backyard Ultra is no ordinary race – it's a test of endurance created by Gary 'Lazarus Lake=' Cantrell. Run 4.167 miles (6.7km) on the hour, every hour, until only one runner remains. Events are held in Brighton, Manchester, Wirral, and London.
Pacers
Pacemakers set target times per start wave displayed on the registration form and on race day at each course. Pacers wear identifiable bibs and are experienced runners who help participants manage effort and negative splits across each 4-mile lap.
