A volunteer-run 50k on the playa at Burning Man, featuring extreme desert conditions and a community-focused experience. The event includes a course through Center Camp and multiple aid stations.
Aid stations provide water, snacks, and food. Runners should bring their own hydration pack or handheld bottle; cups are not provided. The course includes a big aid station at Pink Lightning and a Deep Playa Aid Station ~3.4 miles in, with additional unofficial refresh stops.
Pacers are announced for the event; they run with flagged pacer groups during the race to help runners maintain target times—look for Pacers and Pacerflaggen on race morning at the start/finish. Registration links and further pacing details are provided in the 'Renntag für Laufende' / race-day information.

Yes—everyone needs a Burning Man ticket. Registration for the race opens after tickets are obtained; carry your ticket and be aware of first-come, first-served ticket sales (Step/OMG) and local community releases.
Bring a hydration pack or handheld bottle (no cups provided), ultrarunning snacks, sunglasses, sunscreen, dust mask or goggles, headlamp (it starts in the dark), and a drop bag. Contribute a shared snack for the grub table (chips, gels, energy drinks, cookies, M&Ms, beer, or post-race food).
Runners should carry goggles and a dustmask. If conditions worsen, seek help from volunteers. The early 5am start reduces dust-storm risk, but storms are possible—be prepared.
No, the event requires finishing the full 50k. If you do not intend to finish, please do not sign up; pace runners are welcome to join for portions of the course.
