About

A non-profit trail event northwest of Sydney with 16km and 34km distances, supporting the local Rural Fire Service. Runs feature well-marked trails, on-course hydration and food, and specific cut-off times.

Catering & aid stations

Free coffee/hot chocolate at start; hot food (sausage sandwich) and cold drink at finish. No cups provided at aid stations—runners must carry at least 500ml of water.

Pacers

Pacemaker groups are offered on the 16km and 34km courses. Refer to the event website for target times per Startwelle and flag information; pace runs are led by experienced pacers to help you achieve your goal.

What are the distance options and their routes?

16km Devil’s Dash and 34km Billy to Bomo. The 16km stays in the Devils Wilderness on national park fire trails with ~200m elevation gain. The 34km is a longer out-and-back route including Burralow Campground, Kurrajong Heights, and Crago Observatory with ~800m elevation gain.

Are there cut-off times?

Yes, all runners must finish within 6 hours.

Is parking available?

Main parking is in the paddock at 2137 Bells Line of Rd, Bilpin (400m walk to start). Strict parking at the Fruit Bowl is for emergency/accessibility only.

What mandatory gear is required?

Carry at least 500ml of water. No cups are provided at aid stations to reduce landfill.
