The Calabash Turkey Trot is a festive 100th-race celebration featuring a 10K, 5K, and 1-mile fun run/walk along the Calabash waterfront with post-race pumpkin pie and awards.

Catering & aid stations

On-course water stops with water and Gatorade; post-race nourishment includes bananas, Gatorade, BBQ and beer.

FAQ

What are the start times for each distance?

10K starts at 7:00 am, 5K starts at 8:30 am, and 1 Mile starts at 9:30 am on race day (Thursday, October 24, 2026).

Can I walk the courses?

Yes! The 10K must be completed within 1.5 hours, the 5K within 1 hour, and the 1 Mile within approximately 40 minutes — allowing plenty of time to walk.

Are there aid stations on course?

Yes, there are water stops on the 5K and two on the 10K course, each with water and Gatorade.

Do I need a race bib to be on the course?

Yes, anyone on the course without a race bib will be asked to leave.

Are dogs allowed?

No, dogs are not allowed on USATF certified courses for safety reasons.

Is there parking and shuttle help?

Yes, parking is available at the House of Blues parking lot (4640 Hwy 17 S); a free shuttle runs from the House of Blues to the start/finish line.

Can I switch from in-person to virtual?

Yes, you can switch to a virtual race up to 7 days before the event for a $15 processing fee; contact RunSignUp to make the change.
