How old do I have to be to participate?

Participants must be at least 18 years or older.

How old does my dog have to be to participate?

All dogs must be at least 12 months old and in good health.

What are the distances and what is the course like?

Two options: long course approximately 8 km and short course approximately 5 km. The course is relatively flat and takes place in Salcey Forest; expect muddy conditions in winter and use of trail-running shoes.

I’m new to canicross—can I join?

Yes, the series is beginner-friendly and includes support to build confidence and fitness with your dog. Consider booking a canicross course or fitting session if you’re new to equipment.

Can I walk part of the course?

Yes, you are welcome to walk portions if needed; the event encourages completing the course at your own pace.

Can I run with two dogs?

For safety reasons, only one dog per participant is allowed. See Terms & Conditions for details.

What if my dog is noisy or reactive?

Dogs of all temperaments are welcome. Be mindful of others; yellow ribbons are provided for dogs that need space. Muzzled dogs are welcome if using a basket-style muzzle that allows drinking and panting.

Do I get a medal or prize for finishing?

Bespoke medals are available for all finishers and can be purchased at entry or on the day; there are also trophies for top finishers and series prizes.

Can I sell my entry to someone else if I can’t attend?

Yes, you can sell your entry to someone else provided the sale is completed at least 10 days before the event; see Terms & Conditions for details.
