About

A scenic half marathon and 10k through Canmore's woodlands, beside mountain streams and around a historic mine site with mountain views; a 5k and free kids race are also offered.

Catering & aid stations

Aid stations on the half marathon course offer water, electrolyte drink (No Nonsense Nutrition), and porta-potties. 5km has one aid station; 10km has two. Finish line provides water, first-aid, post-race food (BC fruit and locally baked goods served inside the LGMS gym), and porta-potties.

Pacers

Pacers set target times per start wave for the Half Marathon: the 8:15 wave is for runners completing in under 2 hours; the 8:30 wave is for all other Half Marathon runners. 10km and 5km do not have pacers.

Yes! Runners in the 5km will encounter one aid station, 10km runners will find 2 aid stations, and half marathon runners will run past aid stations 5 times along the route. These aid stations will have water, electrolyte drink (No Nonsense Nutrition), and porta-potties. The finish line will also have a water station, first-aid, post-race food, and porta potties. Where is the best parking?

· Downtown parking lots accessed from 7th Street and 9th Street (payment required) – 5 minute walk to Centennial Park· Residential streets north of 10th Street, (no payment required) – 10 minute walk to Centennial Park· Millennium Park, 1 Street and 5 Avenue, (no payment required) - 6 minute walk to Centennial Park· Canmore Recreation Centre, 1900 8 Avenue, (no payment required) – 15 minutes walk to Centennial Park· Elevation Place and gravel lot behind Provincial Building/Save-On Foods 700 Railway Avenue – 8 minute walk to Centennial ParkCan I wear earbuds during the race?

Yes! All finishers in every distance will receive a finisher medal. The top 3 finishers in each distance and sex will receive a winner medal. The top male and female in each race will receive a medal, and winner prize. Will there be post-race food for participants?

Yes! After the race, participants can enjoy post-race refreshments of BC fruit, and locally baked goods, which will be served inside the LGMS gym.Where will race results be published?

Unfortunately, no dogs are not allowed in the race, and the Town of Canmore’s bylaws state that no dogs are allowed in Centennial Park.Can I run with a stroller?
