A celebratory 5K marking the end of the Girls on the Run season, offering participants a tangible sense of accomplishment and joy as they cross the finish line. The event includes a 5K course, recognition, and a post-race celebration.
Finish line refreshments and on-course water/aid stations provided by volunteers.
Program participants are grouped by pace wave (Startwelle) on race day with dedicated pacers; badges and flags identify pacers on course and at the finish for motivational pacing and support.

Yes! Our Council sells merchandise to support the program — look for the merchandise booth/tent.
Yes! Family, friends and community members outside the program can participate, but must register.
Every registered participant receives a 5K shirt if registered by April 27, 2026. Only GOTR and H&S participants receive a medal.
Yes! This is encouraged — a 5K Buddy is designated to complete the 5K alongside a program participant for the full course.
Every participant must wear a race bib, each participant is assigned a running buddy, and only critical volunteers have access to confidential information. The council monitors the course and conducts head counts with a safety plan in place.
While not mandatory, participants are strongly encouraged to attend and complete the 5K as it is the season’s goal and builds confidence through accomplishment.
This is a celebratory, non-competitive 5K. The course is 3.1 miles; many finish in 30–50 minutes, with the fastest completing around 25 minutes.
