There are no race refunds. We allocated our race budget based on our expected turnouts and the numbers of pre-registrations. Is impossible for us to issue race refunds. We do offer race insurance, Regshield, at the time of registration. It would allow you to file a legitimate claim for you to receive your race refunds.
We don’t offer pre-race day race packet pickup since it isn’t needed for our events. All athletes pickup their race packets on the race day morning, usually 1 hour before the race!
The answer is no. Bike drop-offs are only allowed and available during the race day morning.
The race day email will be sent out 2 days before the race day. It will contain your assigned bib numbers, any race course changes, and the time the transition is open for your race packet pickup.
All participants must be 18 or older. We don’t offer any kids’ races. Anyone who registered and under 18, your registration will be refunded.
Our transition area will be partitioned off with ribbons and in some races with metal fences. Race staff will be guarding the area for the duration of the entire race. Only athletes and race staff are allowed in the transition. Like any other public events, you should leave your valuable belongings at home. Only bring what is essential for the race.
We strongly advise all participants to stay for the award presentation. We will do our utmost to get the results ready in a timely manner. We understand that you may need to go elsewhere after you finished the race. Unfortunately, is not possible for us to mail you the awards if you missed the award presentation.
All of the participants will be using row boats from the Central Park Boat House for the race. You don’t need to bring your own boats.
An USAT license isn’t required to register and to race in our events. Our events are not USAT sanctioned.
Our races and events are Sprint distance. The top 10 winners would usually finish the race within 1 hour or less. Average finishing time is about 1 hour 20 minutes. We do have athletes needing 2 hours+ to finish the race, which is fine. We have no cut off time.
We have no restrictions as to what bikes are allowed to race in our events. As long as the bike works and have brakes and you can stop it when needed, is all good to us.
