The Chianti Classico Marathon 2026 is back to inspire running lovers and all those who cherish the beauty of our land. The backdrop of the competition is one of the most beautiful landscapes in Italy: the Florentine Chianti Classico area.

How do I reach Mercatale in Val di Pesa?
From Florence: head out of the city following Siena directions. When on Firenze-Siena highway, exit for San Casciano Val di Pesa and then follow the directions for Mercatale in Val di Pesa. From Siena: take the Firenze-Siena highway, exit for San Casciano Val di Pesa and then follow the directions for Mercatale Val di Pesa. Bus shuttle available for the ones who are staying in the surrounding area of Mercatale. Just ask at the reception of your hotel/agriturismo. How do I follow my registration process?

I am no longer able to join the race. What can I do?
There is no refund possibility available. Your registration can be valid for the following year.
How do I get my bib?
Bibs will be handed out at the sport facility center of Mercatale Val di Pesa in via dei Cofferi starting from 2:00 pm until 08:00 pm of Saturday May 10th, 2025, and from 06:00 am until up to half an hour before the start of one’s race. You need to have your ID card and your medical certificate with you in order to receive your bib. The bib needs to be visible always during the race. Participants are in charge of checking their registration at the checkpoints and at the arrival point.
Is there any mandatory equipment?
No, there is no mandatory equipment, We strongly suggest to wear trail shoes and to have your mobile phone with you if you are joining the UTRATRAIL.
Where can I leave my belongings?
There will be a cloak room close to the starting point.
Which shoes should I wear?
We strongly suggest trail shoes.
Will there be showers available for participants?
Showers are available at the school gym on Via dei Cofferi, a 200-meter walk from the race start and finish area.
Can I buy Pasta Party ticket?
Vouchers for the Pasta Party are available for companions until all spots are filled.
Do you have suggestions on where to stay or where to eat?
