IS THERE A COMPETITIVE WAVE? AND HOW DO I WIN THE OVERALL RACE CHAMPION TITLE AT A RACE?

To receive the distinction of the overall 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place champion you must run in the 8:00 am competitive elite wave and complete every obstacle. If you fail an obstacle, you must begin that obstacle again. Those competing for overall champion in the elite wave must wear an elite wave cloth belt which will be provided by Conquer The Gauntlet™ at the start line. You may attempt an obstacle as many times as you wish. However, if you cannot properly complete an obstacle, you must take your belt off and give it to the obstacle attendant. You are no longer eligible to win the overall award. An awards ceremony for the overall male and female winners will take place promptly at 11:00 am.

CAN MY FAMILY COME AND WATCH?

Yes, your family and friends are more than welcome to come and watch you race. There is a $10 spectating fee that will be charged at the entrance. Ages 10 and under are free. This will give them a printed course map and access to the entire course. Spectators will need to stay off the course trail and out of the way of runners. There is also a 12 and under kids course available that can be registered for at the same registration link as the regular course.

CAN I SKIP AN OBSTACLE IF I DON’T FEEL COMFORTABLE COMPLETING IT AND I AM NOT TRYING TO WIN OVERALL HONORS?

Yes, you may skip any obstacle that you don’t feel comfortable completing if you are not in the elite wave and attempting to win an overall award. Push yourself. Be safe. Have fun.
