A maximum time of 9 hours is established. The finish line closes at 17:00h.

Are there any compulsory materials?

All riders, without exception, must ensure that they wear an approved cycling helmet. In addition, the organisers recommend that runners carry the following equipment to be able to complete the race: Watertight drums and/or bags for liquids: With a minimum total capacity of 1L. Specific sunglasses and gloves. Sunscreen: Total protection. Electrolytes and/or mineral salts. Food reserve: bars, gels, fruit… Mechanical spare parts for punctures. Carry cash and/or a credit card for any eventualities that may arise. Use of GPS device to follow the route.

Is there a wardrobe service?

The organisers will provide a cloakroom service at the start area where participants can leave their belongings. The staff of the Organisation’s cloakroom service may ask runners to open their bags before dropping them off, in order to supervise the contents of the bags. If a runner refuses to open a bag, the Organisation may refuse to collect the bag. The organisation is not responsible for the materials inside the bag, nor for their loss or breakage.

What are the wardrobe opening hours?

The cloakroom will be open from 7:00h to 17:30h.

Will there be checkpoints throughout the race?

There will be 3 checkpoints along the route.

Will there be refreshment points during the race?

YES There are 3 refreshment points + refreshment at the finish line.

Is medical assistance available during the race? Where?

YES Mobile assistance teams will be available throughout the race.

Where can I pick up my bib number?

Bib numbers will be collected at the Caseta Municipal Estepona on Friday 10:00h to 14:00h and 17:00 to 21:00h and on Saturday 6:30h to 7:30h before the start.The participant will be obliged to wear the bib number during the entire race, always on the front of the bicycle, in a completely visible manner.Each bib is personal and non-transferable.Each participant will be assigned a bib number which will be determined randomly in all cases, except for the first numbers which will be determined by the Organisation. Once the event is over, the race bibs and runner’s bag will not be sent to the runner’s home under any circumstances.

What do I need to collect my bib number?

To collect your bib number you will need an official identification document (ID card or passport) and a federation licence if you are a member of the federation.

Can someone else pick up my bib?

In the event that the race bib cannot be picked up by the race bib holder, it may be picked up by a third person on presentation of authorisation and a photocopy of the bib holder’s ID card.

Can I transfer the registration to a friend or family member without processing it with the organisation?

No. Registration is personal and non-transferable.

I am injured and want to transfer my bib to a friend, can I change the name?

YES, you can change the bib name up to 15 days before the event, as long as the bibs are not sold out and there is no waiting list. The administration fee is €5.

Am I covered by insurance?

The organisation has a civil liability insurance policy in accordance with current legislation.

Are there finisher medals?

YES All will receive a personalised medal

Is a jersey included in the runner's bag?

The official jersey of the Costa del Sol Gran Fondo is optional. This is chosen during the registration process and has an exclusive cost of 15€. This option is only available within the deadline. After this date it will only be available in the merchandising shop for 30€.

Are showers available?

Yes, in the Estepona Sports Centre.
