Will there be a bag drop?

There is no bag drop. Please leave your bags in your vehicles.

Do I need to bring a map of the course?

No. The course is sign-posted and marshalled. There is also a lead cyclist for the first lap of the half marathon. You shouldn’t need to bring a navigation system or map, but it won’t hurt to look over the course map before the race

Will my race bib be posted to me?

No. You must collect your race bib on race morning from the Registration Tent based at Race HQ. The whole process will only take a few minutes.

Can I run with a running buggy?

Unfortunately, due to the terrain and nature of the event, the course isn’t suitable for buggies. Some sections are quite narrow, which means it wouldn’t be safe to take them on the route.

Participants must be aged 17 + for the Half Marathon. There is no age limit for the 10K however, participants aged 14 or younger must run with an adult.

How do I train effectively for a half marathon?

To train for a half marathon, gradually increase your mileage each week, incorporating long runs, speed workouts, and rest days to prevent injury. A structured training plan of 8-12 weeks will help you build endurance and improve race-day performance.

What is a good finishing time for a half marathon?

Half marathon times vary based on experience and fitness level. On average, beginners complete the race in 2 to 2.5 hours, while experienced runners often finish in 1.5 to 2 hours. The key is to find a pace that feels comfortable for you and enjoy the race.

Can beginners take on a half marathon?

Absolutely! With proper training and preparation, beginners can successfully complete a half marathon. Following a gradual training plan, staying consistent with runs, and fueling your body correctly will help you cross the finish line with confidence.

What should I expect on race day for a half marathon?

On race day, expect a well-marked course, hydration stations, and plenty of support from volunteers and spectators. A lively atmosphere, scenic running routes, and a rewarding sense of achievement make the experience unforgettable.
