About
Lace-up your running shoes for the 2026 BMA CQ Rescue Charity Fun Run, where every stride counts towards lifesaving missions. Choose from scenic 5km, 7.78km, and 10km routes along the Bluewater Trail, all starting and ending at Iluka Park in Mackay.
Catering & aid stations
Coffee and water at finish; additional water/aid stations along the Bluewater Trail (5km, 7.78km, 10km turnaround points and en route).
Pacers
Pacemakers will be available. See start corrals on RaceDay — 10km at 6:30am; 7.78km at 7:00am; 5km at 7:30am. Follow pacing flags on course.

FAQ
When & Where is the Fun Run?
The 2026 BMA CQ Rescue Fun Run precinct opens 6am–9am at Iluka Park on Sunday 2 August. All distances start and finish here. Race day is Sunday 2 August.
How do I enter?
Registrations are now open — click the “Register Here” buttons on the event page or use the direct registration link.
Is there parking / how do I collect my race bib?
Race pack collections are available 1pm–6pm on Friday 31 July at the BMA CQ Rescue Hangar (Mackay Airport). If you can’t collect, a friend can with your email confirmation.
What do I get for my entry fee?
With your entry fee you’ll receive a shirt/singlet (if registered by 12 June), timing chip, race bib, plus coffee at the finish and access to all pitstops.
Can I walk the 5km race?
Yes, you may walk in the 5km event.
