The Crow Pass Crossing is an iconic Alaskan backcountry marathon, a rugged 23‑mile race from above Girdwood to the Eagle River Nature Center with stunning mountain and glacier views, technical trail, and major elevation change.
No course markers or aid stations are provided on the course; runners must carry all required nutrition and water.
The race is paced: start 9:00 a.m. Mass start; cutoff 70 minutes to the Crow Pass Checkpoint (approx. 12:10 p.m. for men, 12:40 p.m. for women), with a 6-hour, 30-minute overall finish cutoff at the Eagle River Nature Center.

Registration opens at 8 a.m. Alaska time on Wednesday, April 1, 2026 at Ultrasignup.
Race entry is $90; this does not include the $8 Ultrasignup registration fee.
Friday, July 17: 5–7 p.m. — Bib pickup at Chain Reaction Cycles (MANDATORY for first-timers). Saturday, July 18: 7:30–8:45 a.m. — Random gear check and bib pickup; 8:55 a.m. — Line up; 9 a.m. — Mass start; 10:10 a.m. — Pass Checkpoint cutoff; ~12 p.m.–12:30 p.m. — First finishers; 2 p.m. — Awards; 3:30 p.m. — Finish cutoff.
You must have completed a technical trail race in Alaska of 14+ miles since 2023 at a pace of ~15 min/mile or faster, or completed the full Crow Pass trail in under 6:30, or have an approved qualifier. Age 18+ on race day; 16–17 with permission.
Windbreaker or rain jacket, long-sleeved shirt, long leg layer, winter hat, gloves, water container, and race bib. Spot checks occur; missing gear may lead to disqualification.
