About
A Thanksgiving community tradition featuring timed 5K and 8-mile races that raise funds for YMCA programs serving metropolitan Dallas. All proceeds support local charitable initiatives.
Catering & aid stations
Hot and cold food concessions, water and sports drink stations positioned along the course, plus post-finish meal service in the Festival area.
Pacers
Pacemakers will lead both the 5K and 8-mile races with target finish times displayed by start wave on the race day schedule (Timed Runner Corral). Pacers help runners maintain goal pace; details are provided in the Timed Runner instructions and at the starting line.

What distances does the Turkey Trot offer?
5K and 8-mile road races.
When does packet pickup take place?
Friday November 21 (10 AM–5 PM), Saturday November 22 (1 PM–5 PM), and additional times listed on the site through Wednesday morning; Plano and Coppell locations on Sunday. Last day to pick up is the Wednesday before race day.
Can I register on race day?
Yes, race-day registration is available from 7:00–8:15 AM at the event.
Is there an age minimum or fee for young runners?
Children 6 and under are free with an adult Roost Pass; youth ages 7–12 have a discounted Youth Pass.
Are pets allowed?
Yes, well-socialized dogs are welcome; they may participate with a dog registration and bandanna and must follow the Dog/Stroller Policy.
