The EmmenLauf is a regional running event in the Canton of Lucerne, held in the nature-protected area of Emmen, offering a festival-like running experience with a focus on various distance categories and community participation.

What are the start times for each distance?

On race day (19 August 2026), 0.5–1.6 km starts at 17:00; 3 km starts at 17:00; 5 km and 5.5 km start at 18:50; 10.5 km starts at 19:00. These times are listed on the ‘Renntag / Startzeiten’ page and are also shown at the bottom of the ‘Läufe’ overview.

How do I register and what does it cost?

Registration is open via the linked Anmeldung page. No entry fee is listed for the public distances; additional charges may apply for group/firmenwertung prizes. Note: Start fees are not refundable and cannot be transferred to the following year.

What are the prize categories?

Group/firmenwertung prizes for adult distances include vouchers (CHF 500, CHF 400, CHF 300, CHF 200) awarded to the fastest teams; prizes are distributed at the event.

Is there a registration deadline?

Online registration closes Wednesday, 12 August 2026. After that, late registrations with a CHF 10 surcharge are possible until 13 August, up to one hour before start.

What is the participant limit?

Maximum 1,550 participants (700 children; 850 adults).

Are there aid stations and medical services?

Yes — Festwirtschaft provides food and drinks along the course; medical services and doping controls may be conducted at any time.
