About
The Etzel Challenge is a mountain running event on the Etzel ridge above Lake Zurich, offering a scenic 8 km course with about 700 m of elevation gain from Freienbach to the Kulm restaurant.
Catering & aid stations
Water station at km 4 (Feusisberg) and water plus isotonic drinks at the finish; optional dinner available at the restaurant on the Kulm.
Pacers
Pacemakers will be provided for the 8 km mountain run. On the race day (Renntag) designated pacers will join specific start waves to help runners maintain target times: men are encouraged to chase 36:12.6 min and women 40:44.9 min. Pacers and flags will be visible on course to support participants.
