About

A one-of-a-kind trail event set in the stunning Fairlie Basin, New Zealand, with spectacular mountain views, river trails, gravel roads, and hill climbs. Celebrating its Scottish roots, the event features tartan, tam o’ shanters, and a dram of whisky at the hilltop for half marathoners.

Catering & aid stations

There are three drink stations on the Half Marathon course and participants access one of them twice, adding up to 4 drink stations. All drink stations will have Fixx Fixx Fuel X drink, water, shortbread, fruit cake, first aid assistance, and if you've run far enough, you may just find a dram of whisky to go with the Scottish flair! There is one drink station on the 5.5km Flat Jack course. There are two drink stations on the 10km River Dip course. There are no drink stations on the 2.5km course, but there are Lolly Stations scattered along the way to keep kids (and big kids!) smiling all the way to the finish line.

Pacers

On race day the Half Marathon is split into three Start Waves: Wave 1: over 3 hours Wave 2: Under 3 hours Wave 3: Target times per Start Wave
