The 13th annual FM 'Burn the Bird' Thanksgiving Day 5K/10K in Fargo, ND — a run/walk through mid-town Fargo with chip timing, awards, and post-race showers, hosted by The YMCA of the Northern Sky & SoleMOTION Race Management.

Catering & aid stations

Post-race refreshments include fruit, muffins, hot chocolate, and hot coffee at the Fercho YMCA.

Pacers

Chip-timed races with pace groups indicated at the start; follow pacer flags and timing to meet your target split. Results and awards posted online; no awards ceremony to allow quick return to families.

When is the FM 'Burn the Bird' Thanksgiving Day Run?

Thursday, November 27, 2025 — 5K and 10K start at 8:30 AM.

Where does the race start and finish?

Start and finish at the North side of the YMCA of the Northern Sky, 200 1st Ave South, Fargo, ND. The 10K splits at ~1.75 miles and turns around in Lindenwood Park.

How will I know my time?

Both races are chip timed; results are posted on the event website and a display clock is available at the finish line.

What is included in registration?

Custom designed T-shirt, custom BTB medal, fruit, muffins, hot chocolate, and hot coffee at the YMCA post-race.

Can I push a stroller or register a child?

Yes, strollers are welcome. No registration needed for children unless you want them to receive a shirt and medal.

Is there packet pickup?

Packets available Wed, Nov 27 at Fercho YMCA 3:00–6:00 PM. Day-of pickup at YMCA starting 7:00 AM.

Can I register on race day?

No; walk-up registration is only on Wed, Nov 27 from 3:00–6:00 PM. Not available on Thanksgiving Day.

Is the event handicap-friendly?

Yes, wheelchairs (manual and electric) are welcome; position toward the back for safety.

Are there showers after the race?

Yes, the Fercho YMCA provides showers for participants.

Are there awards?

Awards for top 3 men and women in 5K and 10K; age group results posted online, no ceremony.
