About

The Foulées Biotoises is a popular urban trail race held in the medieval village of Biot, organized by Biot Running. The event features scenic courses through historic streets, with options for 8 km and 12 km distances, culminating in a festive finish with catering and awards.

Catering & aid stations

Two liquid aid stations on each course, plus one additional aid station at the finish line. Runners must bring their own reusable cup.

Pacers

Pacemakers will be present for both the 8 km and 12 km races, aligning with start waves and target times published on the race day schedule (see "Renntag für Laufende"). Pacers display Pacer flag markers to help runners maintain target pacing.

FAQ

What are the age categories for the race?

Masters (born 1990 and earlier), Seniors (1991–2002), U23/Espoirs (2003–2005), U20/Juniors (2006–2007), U18/Cadets (2008–2009). All categories require a valid PPS (Health Prevention Pathway) or an eligible FFA license.

What are the registration deadlines and fee changes?

Registration is online only until Friday, July 18, 2025. Early bird fees: €14 (8 km) and €19 (12 km) until July 1. On-site fees increase to €19 (8 km) and €24 (12 km) starting July 1.

What equipment is mandatory and recommended?

Mandatory: one soft cup for liquid aid stations. Recommended: carry light hydration (0.5L water bottle and energy bars) due to heat.

Where can I collect my bib and when do changes start?

Bib collection is on race day from 6:00 PM at the starting area (Pierre Operto Sports Complex). Unsupervised changing rooms with showers and toilets are available at the complex.

How will results be published and are there awards?

A general and age-category ranking will be published on the event website. The top 3 men and top 3 women in each race receive awards.
