The Park District of Oak Park’s popular annual event featuring a 10K Run, 5K Run/Walk, and Youth Mile through the tree-lined streets of Oak Park, celebrating the architecture of Frank Lloyd Wright and supporting local financial assistance.

Catering & aid stations

Restrooms available along the course; aid stations with water and sports drinks at key points; finish area includes water, bananas, and light snacks.

Pacers

The event uses B-Tag timing—a chip built into the bib. The 5K Walk is not timed; B-Tags are not issued to walkers. Results and placement are based on B-Tag times. Start waves and target times are set per distance on the race day schedule.

Youth Mile top finishers receive gold, silver, and bronze medals in the following categories: overall, 8 and under, 9–10, 11–12, 13–14.

Where can I register?

Registration is available online at https://pdop.org/register and via an on-site kiosk at the Ridgeland Common Recreation Center.

When does registration begin?

Early bird pricing runs from August 1 through September 2. Check back for 2026 pricing and announcements.

Is parking available?

Parking is limited; on-street parking is available nearby. Please follow posted restrictions. No parking in the high school parking garage.

Are strollers allowed?

Yes; strollers are allowed at the back of the pack for 5K and 10K runners and are permitted in the 5K walk.

Are dogs allowed?

Dogs are not allowed in any event unless serving in a service animal capacity.
