About

Annual Free Clinic of Simi Valley fundraiser and awareness event dedicated to Fredrick Michael Gibson, focusing on depression education and counseling resources. The event includes a 5K, 10K, Half Marathon, and a Kids Fun Run.

Pacers

Pacemakers will lead the half marathon and 10K at target times published on the Renntag schedule (see Rennplan). Pacers display flags to help runners stay on target pace; no participant is required to follow a pacer. See the Renntag page for start wave times and pacer assignments.

Anyone who is uninsured, underinsured, or otherwise does not have the means to access healthcare services through privately of publicly funded means is eligible. ​Yes, all services of the Free Clinic are provided on an appointment basis. The best time to call to schedule an appointment is when the Clinic is open. See the Clinic operating hours above. ​(HOURS MAY VARY AND SUBJECT TO CHANGE UPON VOLUNTEER AVAILABILITY ) What is the clinic's policy on cancellations and rescheduling appointments?​Patients are required to provide 24-hour notice for cancellations or rescheduling, except in emergencies. No, the Free Clinic is not an Urgent Care Clinic. If you have an emergency, please call 9-1-1 or proceed to the nearest hospital Emergency Room. How is the Free Clinic of Simi Valley different from Sierra Vista and other County Health facilities?

​The Free Clinic of Simi Valley does asks for a typically non tax deductible $40 donation for our services which goes back directly into our many programs. However, access to services and person centered care is not contingent upon a person's ability to contribute to their care. Other clinics are sliding fee scale and may require some kind of payment or agreement for payment in order to receive services. What kind of dental services does the Free Clinic of Simi Valley offer? We offer dental services, generally Monday-Friday. This is a very popular service and there may be a waiting list. Call (805) 522-3733 to make an appointment. What family counseling services does the Free Clinic of Simi Valley offer?

Individuals and families spend one hour per week in a private, confidential setting receiving careful guidance and caring support from a trained counselor. Counselors are trained in providing clients with the skills necessary to deal with stress, depression and communication. The average course of therapy ranges from six weeks to six months. Volunteer attorneys offer information, instruction and assistance in the complex area of law. Individual appointments are typically 15 minutes in length, but can range up to an hour. Clients are offered information needed to protect their family, property, or individual rights. A client has usually completed the need for assistance after only one or two sessions. Please note that our attorney's do not represent you in court.
