About

The Freedom Run is an annual 10K, 5K, and Mayor’s 1-mile Fun Run held in Provo, Utah each July 4, organized as part of America’s Freedom Festival.

Catering & aid stations

On-course water stations: two stations on the 10K (after 3K and after 5K). Additional refreshment supplies at the finish.

Pacers

Pacemakers are identified by Pacerflaggen on the start day. Target times per Startwelle are published on the ‘Renntag für Laufende’ page to help pacing; follow the pacers’ flags and designated start corrals.

FAQ

How do I register for the Freedom Run?

Register online at https://www.raceentry.com/races/freedom-festival-freedom-run/2026/register or via the official race entry link provided on the event site. In-person registration is July 3, 2026, at the Provo Recreation Center only.

What are the registration deadlines and price changes?

Early registration fees: By May 14 — 1-mile $15, 5K $30, 10K $35. May 15 to June 15 — 1-mile $17, 5K $35, 10K $40. After June 15 and on race day — 1-mile $20, 5K $45, 10K $50. No refunds after registration is complete.

Where can I pick up my packet?

Packet pickup is July 3, 2026, only at the Provo Recreation Center (Multi-Purpose room, east end). Hours: 9:00–16:00 (shifts 8:00–13:00 and 13:00–17:00). ID required; family members may sign for others.

What amenities are available on course?

On-course water stations: two stations on the 10K (after 3K and after 5K). The 5K has at least one station. Refreshments are provided at the finish.

Are strollers and bikes allowed?

Strollers are permitted but must start after runners. Bicycles, unicycles, and other wheeled devices are not allowed on the course.
