Join us for the Frightwood race, a spooktacular event where costumes are encouraged and ghouls will be lurking! Experience a beautiful course through Wrightwood, filled with friendly volunteers and a family-friendly atmosphere.
Catering & aid stations
Participants will pass a water stop along the beautiful course.
Pacers
Pacing will be done by volunteers who are familiar with the course. Feel free to team up with them for support!

What makes Frightwood special?
Think... mild Halloween haunt meets 5K race!! We've got awesome awards, frightful ghouls, t-shirts, medals, finishing tags, a BEAUTIFUL course, friendly volunteers, a safety team, photo opportunities, terrific raffle items, and a fun, family-friendly atmosphere. This is our tenth year! Come join the fun! :) Do I have to dress up? No, it is not required. But why would you not? When else can you run around Wrightwood dressed as a zombie, giant CLIF bar or Whoopie cushion? Now's your chance! Have fun and get crazy! Is the course stroller friendly? Absolutely! The course is on paved roads... the only thing you need to worry about are the hills. But hills make the course even more "exciting!" Embrace the hills!!! Don't fight them... and please hold on tight to your stroller. Are there really Ghouls? Well, it is called FRIGHTwood! Friendly ghouls are interspersed throughout the course for good fun! :) Get in with a pack of brave-looking people and you will be fine! Or, better yet, run FAST!!!! And don't fret... ghouls will NOT be along the Mini Monster Mile or Drac Dash. :) Where do the proceeds go? Proceeds are divided up between Wrightwood CERT, the Serrano High School Drama Department, and Wrightwood Elementary School's Raccoon Running Club.
