About

The ultimate race with no finish line — Project Run presents the Gold Coast Backyard Ultra at Doug Jennings Park, Main Beach, where the course is a mix of road, grass, trail and beach with 16m ascent and 19m descent. The event kicks off at 8:00 AM on Saturday, March 13th, 2027; one yard (6.706km) starts every hour on the hour until the last runner is decided.

Catering & aid stations

No aid stations or on-course catering are permitted under official Backyard Ultra rules; no nutrition or hydration is allowed to be handed to competitors mid-loop. Runners must carry all required nutrition and hydration; water and electrolytes are provided on-site at communal stations.

Not applicable — this is a Backyard Ultra with no assigned pacers; competitors run at their own pace with start waves staggered hourly.
