One of Scotland’s toughest running challenges, set amongst stunning scenery. Run 72 miles from Fort William to Inverness along the historic Great Glen within a 22-hour time limit, following a fully marked route with marshaled checkpoints.

Race features pacemaker / Pacerflaggen. Target times per Startwelle are outlined on the Renntag für Laufende schedule; 2–6 sentences of pacers guidance available on the race page.

These are based on prior years and marshals may adjust for weather or circumstances.
The race is designed to be run unsupported — drop bags are available at checkpoints, but no support crews are allowed on course.
Mandatory kit includes a foil blanket (not cut down), a working mobile phone with race control number, 1 litre water-carrying capability, small first aid kit, and a race vest. Full details are in the race briefing sent 3 weeks before the event.
