About

A multi-distance ultra event in Port Lincoln, South Australia with 100K, 60K, 22K and 5K options, featuring extensive outback and coastal terrain.

Catering & aid stations

Basic food items such as bananas, oranges, muesli bars, salty chips and possibly fruit cake or other baked goods available at all Aid Stations except the first water point on the GWU100 (Spalding Cove 12k) which is water only. Tailwind Nutrition products available at all aid stations. Personal food and hydration drops can be taken to any aid station location, to be arranged Friday night before 6pm.

Pacers

Pacemaker/Pacer: Cut-off times are based on an average pace of just under 11 min/km for the GWU100 course. GWU100 runners must be past MacLaren Point Aid Station (30k) before 11:30, past Pilly’s Hut Aid Station (52k) before 15:30, and past the Lincoln National Park entrance (78k) before 20:15. Runners need to finish at the Hotel Boston by midnight on Saturday.

What is the registration fee for each distance?

Pre-registration pricing is indicated on the registration form; fees are listed per distance on the registration page.

What mandatory equipment do I need to carry?

All runners must wear their race bib and carry mandatory equipment for their distance, including for GWU60 & GWU100: 1.5L water capacity, long sleeve thermal top, waterproof breathable jacket, whistle, emergency space blanket, compression roller bandage, head torch, and 4G GPS tracker (supplied on race day).

Where are the aid stations located?

Aid stations are located at Spalding Cove (12k), MacLaren Point (30k), Taylors Landing (40k), Pillie Hut (52k), Sleaford Mere (70K), Park Entrance (78k), and Greyhound Rd (88k) for GWU100; similar points for GWU60 and GWU22; no water for GWU5.

When will presentations be held?

Presentations will be held at the Hotel Boston at 7:30pm or after all place getters have finished, with prizes awarded in each distance category.
