About

A timed trail race held in Japanese Gulch, Mukilteo, WA, featuring a 2.18-mile loop where runners complete successive laps with decreasing cut-off times until a single Last Person Standing is determined.

Catering & aid stations

Aid station at start/finish offering water, Gatorade, soda, bananas, potato chips, and menstrual products. No food or drink is allowed on the course.

Pacers

The race uses pacemakers indicated by flags on the course. For the first eight laps, the clockwise direction is mandatory for fastest-lap competition; after lap eight, direction alternates each lap. Pacers set split targets per Startwave: Lap 1 cut-off 32 minutes, subsequent laps 31 minutes, reducing by 1 minute each lap until Lap 12 (marathon distance), then by 30 seconds per lap until one runner remains.
