About

Utah’s largest Halloween race with a spooky route from Emigration Canyon through the canyon and into Salt Lake City. Features haunted themes, costume contests, and family-friendly fun.

Catering & aid stations

Electrolytes, water, porta-potties, and a first aid kit are available at each aid station. Look for electrolytes on the first table and water on the second.

Pacers

The Runtastic Pacers will be pacing the Half Marathon in multiple pace groups. Pacers will be identified by flags on their shoelaces and will run with the group they are assigned to pacify. Follow the pacer for your assigned time window to maintain your target finish time.

What is the costume contest?

The costume contest is held at the start line for the Half Marathon. Categories include best male, best female, and best group costumes. Winners are voted by the crowd and receive free entry into next year’s race plus a prize.

Where is the start/finish?

Start and finish at Sugar House Park in Salt Lake City. The Half Marathon starts at Emigration Canyon (Little Mountain Summit) and descends into the park.

Can I register on race day?

Registration closes the day of the race one hour before the Half start and 1 hour before the 5K and Kids Run. Late registration may be available for a $15 fee at the Runtastic Info Tent.
