Yes. Friday, April 10 from 11-7:00 at Shiloh Square in downtown (106 W Emma Ave, Springdale, AR 72764), there will be vendors set up. Packet Pick-up will be there as well. RUNNERS ARE HIGHLY ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND THE EXPO ON FRIDAY!
Yes, registrations will be taken in person on Friday (4/10/26) at Packet Pick up, however some events may sell out prior to race weekend. Runners should not expect to receive all of the exact sizing or race swag if waiting to register. If available it will be provided. There will NOT be registration on the morning of the events.
All finishers of all events receive a finishers medal. All participants receive a T-shirt with their paid entry. the 2026 shirts are TBD Marathon runners receive an additional hooded jacket for finishing the FULL MARATHON. Jackets will be given at the finish line & will not be given if a person does not finish or show up for the race. Half Marathon finishers receive a 1/4-zip shirt after crossing the finish line. These will be given at the finish line & will not be given if a person does not finish or show up for the race. All of Saturday registrants receive optional hot food at the finish. All marathon, half and relay runners receive one free beer/drink coupon on their bibs (race numbers).
Yes, there will be gear check for Saturday’s races only. You must take the tag from your bib, and attach it to the bag. You may drop it at the Senior Center bus at the back of Shiloh Square on Saturday morning and pick it there as well.
Maybe. We have preordered medals and shirts and you may not receive the shirt or a medal if the events are sold out.
You may attend and pick up your packet which includes your race number (bib), timing device (on back of the bib) and race shirt on Friday, April 10 at Shiloh Square located at 106 W. Emma Ave, Springdale, AR 72764, 11-7:00 PM. There will be very limited packet pick-up on Saturday morning before the race also at Shiloh Square, beside Phat Tire Bike Shop 5:30-6:45 am. Note there will be gear check also on Saturday only. The starting line is not the same as the finish line and you must cross the starting line mat in order to receive a time for the race in which you are entered. There will also be a limited packet pick up for Sunday’s events (5K, 10K) on Saturday (4/11) at Shiloh Square 10:30-2:00 pm. If possible, please try to come Friday. And, if absolutely necessay Sunday morning (4/12) before the race at 5:45 am.
Yes, the marathon will have one & only one early start at 6:00 am. This is used ONLY for runners who need extra time to finish and SHOULD NOT be used if you can finish in 6.5 hours hours.
There are many lots in downtown Springdale, including the Community Clinic lots, The Jones Center has much parking! First Methodist Church lots, Tyson Foods lot (off Meadow, street blocked for entry exit) Luther George Park. Please do not park on Emma Ave, unless it is East of the Railroad tracks. Please park in the available lots. Relay runners should park at the Medium,(Arts One Presents), (formerly Arts Center of the Ozarks) 214 S. Main St. for the start of the race. The Jones Center will also have parking and would serve as a good warm up before the race since it is about .5 miles to the start.
Not by the race. Runners should schedule a ride share or check with hotels about a shuttle. See Area/Lodging.
There are several places: The marathon course will go past 5 Springdale Parks, Lake Fayetteville Northside Park, and go through Arvest Ballpark, as well as many churches and schools. We ask they all use appropriate social distancing and wear masks when in close proximity of a group of people. Do not park as to block or hinder the course. Please keep in mind the streets & trails are active, so do not go out into the course, or allow children to do so, thinking traffic is blocked.
Yes. There will be medical personnel at the relay exchange points, and the finish line. There will be bicycle EMT’s traveling the course as well. There will be over 17 aid stations where medical personnel can be summoned. UAMS is the Official Medical Provider of the 2026 Hogeye. If you have any serious allergies, (e.g. bee stings), or have medical conditions which could affect your treatment from medical personnel, you should carry this information with you during the race. You should also print any allergies or health conditions on the back of your race number with a permanent marker. These will be available at packet pick-up. Everyone should print their emergency contact person’s name and number on the back of their race bib in the upper corner, above the timing device. Emergencies can occur!
Yes! Your timing device will be attached to the back of your bib, unless you are running the 4-Person Relay. relay runners must exchange an ankle timing device to be picked up at the packet pick-up. Please wear your bib on the front of your shirt or shorts so it is visable when you finish the race. This is also how we idenitify you for photos.
Yes. Aid Stations will be approximately 1.5 to 2 miles. Aid stations will have water & diluted Gatorade. Hogeye Cheer stations and DJ’s will be throughout the course. Clif Bloks will be available at mile 8.5, and at various aid stations past mile 8. If you are accustomed to other nutrition, please carry this with you.
Yes. Portable Toilets will be at the start and at convenient places along the course, including relay exchanges. There are also bathrooms at some City parks, such as Lake Fayetteville, and JB Hunt Park. There are indoor flush toilets at Turnbow Park behind Shiloh Square, adjacent to the finish line.
Yes, Pacers will be helping get you to your goal in the Marathon & half marathon, sponsored by Arvest Bank for 2025.
Using headphones, or double earbuds is discouraged! If a runner chooses to use them, please use only one side so you will be aware of traffic. The course is closed but is on City Streets. Absolutely No baby strollers or dogs are allowed on the marathon, relay or half marathon courses! 5K/10K- strollers permitted as long as you start at the back of the pack. NO DOGS ALLOWED anywhere on the course for either day! 5k & 10K will be on the Razorback Greenway trail, out & back, so please make sure to watch for other runners in both directions. There may also be other trail users. Please announce you are approaching so they may move off the course.
Yes. Pictures will be taken throughout the course, at the finish line, awards. A link will be provided following the race. You will be emailed this link, but PLEASE BE PATIENT & give our photogrphers time 1-2 days after Sunday to sort the thousands of pictures. Please make your bib visable if you don’t want to end up in the dreaded “unidentified” photos. The digital race photos are provided to runners FREE by The Hogeye.
Yes, PLEASE STAY TO PICK IT UP at Shiloh Square, after each event. Overall Winners will be announced. Finishers will be able to view their time and place finish by video board at Shiloh Square and pick up their award there. PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE WITHOUT CHECKING ON WHETHER YOU PLACED. WE DO NOT WANT TO MAIL AWARDS AND WILL NOT DO SO, SINCE IT TAKES FUNDS AWAY FROM THE CHARITIES THE HOGEYE SUPPORTS. Every year, people say “I didn’t think I would place in my age group, but I did. Can you mail my award to me?”
Yes. Finisher medals will be given to all marathon, half marathon, 5K/10 and relay finishers, EXCEPT NO SWAY MARATHONERS. Special Shirts will be given to marathon and half marathon finishers.
