Hornindalsrokkenskyrace is a demanding and technical sky race in Norway’s Hjørundfjorden landscape, set on August 22th, 2026. The course climbs from Horndøla bru up to Hornindalsrokken (1,526 m) with steep, exposed terrain, an aid station at 6.4 km, and a mandatory safety briefing.

    What is the age limit to participate?

    The age limit to participate is 15 years.

    How many participants are allowed?

    Only 200 start numbers are available.

    Is there a cancellation policy?

    Cancellation more than two months before the race: 50% refund of registration fee. Cancellation less than two months before: no refund.

    What equipment is mandatory?

    Mandatory equipment includes trail shoes with good grip, windproof jacket, warm buff/hat, gloves, extra wool shirt, small first aid kit, whistle, fully charged cell phone with race director’s number and Red Cross, water and nutrition.

    Are poles allowed?

    No, poles are not allowed.

    Is crewing allowed?

    Crewing is not allowed; food and drink may only be received at aid stations.

    What happens in poor weather?

    The direct ridge route will only be used in good weather. In poor weather, the course will make a short loop after Rokkeråsa before heading to the summit.

    Is there bus transportation after the race?

    Yes, regular bus transportation from the finish line at Trondstad Grendahus back to Horndøla Camping.
