About

A 5km & 10km road race held yearly on Inis Oírr off Ireland’s west coast to raise funds for Coláiste Ghobnait, the island’s secondary school. Takes place around the island with start/finish at An Pháirc (Páirc Peile Inis Oírr). Refreshments are available before and after the race.

Catering & aid stations

Water stations along the route; refreshments provided at the race finish in An Halla (Community Hall).

Pacers

Pacers will be present with pace flags for each start wave on race day (Renntag) as published in Race Info. Refer to the start times per wave at the start area (An Pháirc) and follow pacer flags during the race.

Where does the race start and finish?

Start and finish at An Pháirc (Páirc Peile Inis Oírr) on Inis Oírr island.

What are the distances and times?

5K and 10K races, both starting at 13:00. Course starts and finishes at An Pháirc.

What is the entry fee?

€50 for the 10K run and €50 for the 5K run. Reduced fees: €20 for ages 13–17, €15 for under 12s.

Is registration available on the day of the race?

No. Online registration only; no registrations on the day of the race.

When is T-shirt/bib collection?

T-shirts and race numbers can be collected on the morning of the race at An Halla between 10:00 and 12:00.

Are there refunds or deferrals?

No refunds, but entries can be deferred to the following year if you cannot attend.

Can I transfer my entry?

Transfers are accepted until 4 April 2027; send an email to eolas.gobnait@gretb.ie with your entry name change request.

Do participants receive a medal?

Medals are awarded only to category winners (over 40 men’s/women’s; over 50 men’s/women’s; over 60 men’s/women’s). All under-12s receive a certificate.

Are there drink stations and first aid on route?

Yes, there are water stations along the route and first aid points at the start/finish and other appropriate locations on the course.
