Der Mürmeslauf ist ein traditioneller Volks- und Jedermannlauf durch das schöne Ortsbild von Ellscheid in der Vulkaneifel. Alle Leistungsgruppen sind willkommen – auch Walkingfreundinnen und Walkingfreunde. Neben der Einzelwertung gibt es auch eine Teamwertung.
All finishers over 5 km receive a non-alcoholic refreshing drink after the race and automatically enter a raffle. Additionally, food and drinks are available for purchase for participants and visitors — with snacks, cakes, and beverages on site.
Pacemakers are announced on the start day (Renntag) with target times per start wave shown on the start list and indicated by Pacer flag markers on course. Refer to the Renntag / Startzeiten / Startwellen pages for exact pacers, target times, and flag markers at the event.

The race starts at the sports facility in Ellscheid. Specific start times by distance: 300 m Bambini at 18:00, 1000 m Kinderlauf at 18:30, 2000 m Jugendlauf at 18:45, and 5000 m Hauptlauf at 19:15 — all on Wednesday, 13 May 2026.

Children’s and youth races are free. The 5 km Jedermann and Walking events cost 8 EUR each. Registration form prices are listed per distance.

Yes. All finishers over 5 km receive a non-alcoholic refreshment after the race. On-course food and drink include drinks, cake, and snacks such as chips and currywurst.
The Bambini race provides a surprise package for all participants. The 1 km and 2 km youth races award prizes to top runners in each age group. The 5 km includes individual age-category prizes for U16 and U18, plus overall men’s and women’s winners and three fastest teams receive team awards.
Yes, the event is family-friendly with dedicated children’s and Bambini categories.
