About

The Iron Horse Ultra 100 is a 100-mile trail race through the Lakeland of Northern Alberta, taking runners through varied trails and isolated terrain over challenging countryside.

Catering & aid stations

All stations will have water, sports drink, chips, chocolates, fruit, etc. Later stations offer soup and pop. Vegetarian options are available, but gels are not provided at any station; participants must plan to bring anything they need via support or drop bags. All aid station supplies are for registered runners, soloists, and volunteers only.

Pacers

Pacers are required to register, wear a Pacer Bib, and start/finish at the transition station. Solo runners may use a pacer after completing leg 3 (preferably after 4pm). Pacers must follow all race rules and sign a waiver; those running legs 4 and 5 also need to sign the Fort George Buckingham house waiver at Reunion or Elk Point Station.
